Email Validator

Check whether an email address is valid — one…

0 addresses
What do you want to check?

Syntax and the domain's mail records are checked. That removes the addresses that would bounce, but no site can confirm a single mailbox exists without sending mail — this one does not pretend to.

The domain lookups run from your browser straight to a public DNS resolver. Your list is not uploaded to this site and nothing is stored.

About the Email Validator

What the Email Validator does

Paste one address or a list of thousands and this page tells you which addresses are actually usable. The syntax is checked first, then the domain is looked up for an MX record — the DNS entry that says a domain accepts mail — and disposable and role addresses are flagged separately instead of being mixed in with the good ones.

How to use the Email Validator

  1. 1.Paste one email address per line. Duplicates are removed automatically and a list of thousands is fine.
  2. 2.Press Validate Addresses. Syntax is checked instantly; the domains are looked up in parallel.
  3. 3.Copy the valid addresses, or export everything — disposable, role and no-MX results each keep their own label.

Frequently asked questions(5)

Does this confirm that a specific mailbox exists?
No — and no website can honestly promise that without sending mail to it. What this tool confirms is that the address is well formed and that its domain actually accepts mail (a real MX record, or an A record standing in as an implicit MX). A domain with neither cannot receive mail at all, so that result is certain, and it removes the large majority of addresses that would bounce.
Are my addresses sent to your server?
No. The syntax check runs in your browser and the domain lookups go straight from your browser to a public DNS resolver, so the list is not uploaded to this site and nothing is stored.
What counts as a disposable or role address?
Disposable means the domain belongs to a throwaway-mail service, which is usually a sign the signup will never be read again. Role means the address is a shared one such as info@, sales@ or support@: perfectly valid, but it is answered by a team rather than a person.
How many addresses can I check at once?
There is no fixed limit. Domains are looked up in parallel and each domain is only looked up once no matter how many addresses sit on it, so a list of ten thousand addresses on a few hundred domains finishes quickly.
Can I look up the MX records of a domain?
Yes — switch to the MX lookup tab and enter a domain. You get its mail exchangers with their priority numbers, which is the fastest way to see who actually handles mail for that domain.
