About the Facebook Live UID
What the Facebook Live UID does
Feed it a messy list — profile links, bare UIDs, whole account lines — and it pulls the numeric UID out of every entry and checks which of them really exist. Valid and invalid are split apart so the list can be cleaned in one pass.
How to use the Facebook Live UID Checker
- 1.Paste your list: UIDs, profile links or full account lines.
- 2.Turn on Extract UID Only if you just want the numbers and no lookups.
- 3.Copy the valid entries, or the extracted UIDs, from their own tabs.
Frequently asked questions(4)
- How do I find the Facebook UID from a profile link?
- Paste the link and press Validate. The numeric UID is pulled out of the link and shown next to it. With Extract UID Only switched on this happens instantly and without any network call, which is the fastest way to convert a whole list of links into numbers.
- What is a Facebook UID?
- It is the permanent numeric ID behind a profile. A username or display name can be changed, the UID cannot — which is why lists are usually kept as UIDs and why a link has to be converted before it can be used.
- What does "Extract UID Only" do?
- It skips the network completely and simply strips the numeric UID out of each line, which is instant. That is the right choice when you only need to tidy a list before using it somewhere else.
- How accurate is the validation?
- Lookups go through Facebook itself, so privacy settings on a profile can change what comes back. A profile that is alive but deeply private may report less than one that is open.
