About the Temp Mail
What the Temp Mail does
Temp Mail gives you a free disposable address on a mailbox domain of your choice, and it reads the mail that lands on it in the same page — usually within a second or two, not on the next refresh. Choose a domain, type a username or press the dice, copy the address, and give it to whatever needs it. When something arrives it appears on its own. Open the message for the full body and lift the verification code off the list with one click — and where the mailbox carries attachments, keep or download those too. Everything is free and nothing needs an account.
How to use the Temp Mail
- 1.Choose a mailbox domain, then type a username — or paste a full address, whose domain is selected for you — or press Random for a ready-made name.
- 2.Press Copy address and give that address to the site, app or service that needs it.
- 3.Wait a moment: new mail appears in the inbox on its own, no refresh needed. Open a message to read it, take an attachment, download the original, or use Copy code.
- 4.Done with it? Delete a single message, empty the whole mailbox, or simply leave it — the box expires by itself.
Frequently asked questions(7)
- What is a temporary email?
- A temporary email is a working address that is not tied to you and is meant to be thrown away after one job — a signup you do not want on your real address, or a confirmation code you would rather not receive in your own inbox. It receives mail exactly like any other address. Type a username on this page, or press Random, and you have one immediately.
- How fast does mail arrive, and do I have to keep refreshing?
- You do not have to refresh. Where a mailbox pushes, the message appears on its own the moment it lands — usually about a second; where it does not, the page re-checks the inbox every few seconds instead. Either way there is nothing to press, and Refresh is only there if you want to look again right now.
- How long does the address last?
- The address keeps receiving mail while the mailbox is live, and messages are kept for a limited retention window that is shown on the page and counts down per message. Treat it as a temporary address for the message you are waiting for, not as somewhere to keep mail.
- Is a temporary email safe to use?
- Treat it as public: anyone who knows the address can open the same mailbox, so it suits a newsletter or a one-time confirmation far better than anything you would not want read by someone else. Do not use it for a bank, a recovery address you care about, or anything holding personal data you want to keep.
- Who runs the mailbox, and do you keep my mail?
- Treat any disposable mailbox as public: whoever knows the address can open the same inbox, so use it for signups and one-time codes rather than for mail you would want kept private. Nothing stays for ever either — messages are removed automatically once the retention window is up on the mailboxes that run one, and wherever the mailbox allows it you can delete a single message, or empty the whole box, from this page at any time.
- Can I get the mail without using this page?
- Yes. The same mailbox is available through a documented API — create an address, list its messages, and fetch the full message with its headers and attachments — so a script can wait for a code instead of a person watching a tab. The API is described on the developers page.
- Do I need to sign up, and is it free?
- No signup and no payment. Choose a domain and a username — or press Random — and the address is yours. There is nothing to install and no account to create on this site.
